The Israel Retractor consists of a hook-type working end and a teardrop shaped handle. Moreover, the handle has a central ring.

Also, the retractor handle has a hollow distal end. This feature allows surgeons to pull tissues back in different angles without the risk of slippage.

On the other hand, the retractor features a L-shaped hook that can have four to seven prongs. Surgeons can pick the model according to the size of the tissue being treated and the anatomical site.
