Hartmann Tuning Fork
MEDIKON Hartmann Tuning Forks are resonating instruments that help in the diagnosis of different types of hearing loss.
For an efficient function, the fork has several features to conduct Rinne and Weber tests of hearing. Hence, it consists of two prongs, a shoulder, a stem and a base with a plastic foot.
To make them resonate, strike the prongs on a hard surface to produce a frequency of 256 Hz.
Then, place the prongs close to the ear to assess air conduction. Finally, place the base on the mastoid process firmly to assess bone conduction.
MEDIKON Instruments manufacture ear instruments from premium grade stainless steel and you can easily sterilize them for ear examinations.
